I'm almost certain the key to writing personal statements is to find an obscure topic/activity to be your passion for the duration of the writing.
I'm just as certain that describing Globalisation as the "insidious phenomenon that it is" is the way to start my essay.
(It's okay, Sicheng. Cut your hair so we can spike it up for NDP :D)
