HELP ME

I have to write a POEM DD: on how this man is feeling/thinking for my elit options.

I'm trying to think of a storyline. What about he is colour-blind and he's looking at the sky and imagining it to be bright and colourful and was sighing about how he can't appreciate the beautiful clouds, except it actually isn't so.

Or like he just got fired and he's reflecting about his life.

Maybe his wife cheated on him.

He became gay.

HELPPP!! Please? :D

  1. I like the 'He became gay' idea. Or else, maybe nothing happened. Maybe he was walking home from work and decided he was sleepy and went to lie there.

    Today was hard.
    My boss was hard
    on me.
    He's such a hard-
    ass.
    The bricks are hard.

    Life is hard.
    My wife is so hard
    to please.
    Supper will be hard
    to get through.
    The bricks are hard.

    Keeping awake is hard.
Not lying here for a while is hard.
    It has been a hard
    day.
    The bricks are ha-zz

TA-DA! Nonsensical poem done. (This is not helping you right? D: It's okay, Sicheng. You can write poems as good as those other lit/art students!)

  2. More nonsensical poems! :D
    (abysmal, really.)

Come sit down beside me on this brick fence!
Let go of your your briefcase
    and parasol
    - Men go on the wall and Things on the sidewalk.
And line them neatly please, upright,
or you'll chase the clouds away.

Look! There's shapeless fluffy precipitate in the sky.
    A dog? A god?
Perhaps it's having an identity crisis.
    - It's not a pink unicorn, though.
    Close your eyes.
    You see more that way.

    Please do not smile.
Thinking is supposed to be serious.
Keep your backbone straight and mouth straight and head straight and
    - Dong, whispers the clock tower
Let us fall into the rabbit hole
    Into the land of sleep.

    Thank goodness I don't take lit. :D

  3. Thank goodness we don't take lit. (I almost read the last line of your comment as part of the poem.)

Sicheng, are you encouraged by the fact that we write no better (and your current poem sounds much less whimsical and nonsensical and abysmal - thank you Aletheia - than ours)?

I like your poem though. Love "And line them neatly please, upright,/or you'll chase the clouds away." This is fun :DDD

  4. omg I love your quirky poems!! they are much more fun than an ATTEMPT at being serious ):

A brolly and brief case lies
Right next to each other, but not really touching
Trying to engage in a conversation
Is especially hard with that strong wind
    knocking into them
Great effort is required to remain upright and straight

    OHNO I CANT WRITE )):
